Rick Urban first visited Nantucket in September of 1992. It was to be a brief excursion, an introduction planned by his wife, Jocelyn who has been a life-long Nantucket devotee. Captivated by the unique nature and charm of the Island, Rick initiated a real estate search on the third day of this initial visit. His appreciation and knowledge of the Island has developed and evolved over the twenty two year period since then; a passion that he enjoys sharing with family, friends and those he meets, both on and off island. Following his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, Rick developed careers in veterinary medicine, animal husbandry, fine art reproduction and real estate, all of which he continues to pursue and nurture. Within that scope of experience, coupled with his business travel throughout Europe, North America, and South America, Rick contends that the setting that is Nantucket stands apart as an alluring, though peaceful, private and other times dynamic retreat. Whether draped by clear blue skies or cloaked in the gray that has tested many natives and pilots over the years, Nantucket provides a nest that anyone can appreciate. Rick, Jocelyn and their son, Nicholas, over a span of many years, have cultivated numerous personal and professional relationships, some specific to Nantucket and others that span into their Connecticut, Vermont and New York associations. Whether Jocelyn’s fine art, Nicholasâ€� skiing and tennis, or Rick’s pet friendly career (as well as a real estate license in Fairfield County, Connecticut), are individually or collectively the focus, the Urban family is engaged and thriving with Nantucket life. An opportunity to join Windwalker Real ÐÇ¿ÕÌåÓý¹Ù·½ÍøÖ· presented itself in the spring of 2014; the ultimate complement to the preceding twenty two years.
