Mani Stone

Prayers and mantras are carved into stones throughout the region by devout Buddhists. Most of these stones say, Om Mani Padme Hum. This photo was taken while trekking in the Himalayas at Nyurnging(Ghat), Nepal.


The vertical prayer flags are called dhar cho or darcho - and send blessings on the wind...to bless those who place them and to benefit all beings.
